If you experience issues with your RF Explorer Pro, you can generate a diagnostic report to assist in troubleshooting. This report contains essential system information that can help identify potential problems and is useful when contacting support.

Connect a USB Drive

Insert a FAT-Formatted USB Drive

  • Make sure your USB drive is formatted using the FAT (or FAT32) file system. If you are unsure, check the drive format on your computer by right-clicking the drive icon, selecting Properties, and verifying the file system type.
  • Once confirmed, insert the USB drive into the available USB port on your RF Explorer Pro.

  • Reformat the drive on a computer if needed, ensuring you select FAT or FAT32.

Access the Tech Support Menu

  • Power on your RF Explorer Pro and navigate to the main menu.
  • Tap Config, then select Advanced from the list (highlighted in the first image).
  • In the Advanced Menu, tap Tech Support to initiate the diagnostics generation process.
  • After selecting Tech Support, an on-screen confirmation prompt will appear.
  • Press YES to proceed with generating the diagnostic file (as shown in the second image).

Save the Diagnostic File

  • After confirmation, the RF Explorer Pro will automatically create a ZIP file named RFExplorer_Support_xxx.zip (where xxx includes the current date and time).
  • Wait for a completion message on the screen. This message confirms the file was saved and displays the file name and path.

Additional Details

  • Do not remove the USB drive until the completion message appears.
  • Note the file name for easy reference later.

Transfer the File to Computer

  • Remove the USB drive from the RF Explorer Pro.
  • Insert the USB drive into a computer with internet access and locate the RFExplorer_Support_xxx.zip file.

  • A computer with an internet connection is necessary to send the file by email.
  • Copy the file to your desktop or a similar location for quick access.

  • The RF Explorer Support team will use the file to review your device configuration, activity logs, and related diagnostic data.
